Volunteers showed up in full force for the 2nd Annual Volunteer-A-Thon on February 16 and 17. For 12 hours volunteers of all ages and abilities filled the processing center working diligently to sort, sticker and pack books for the children we serve.
The impact of this event is incredible and the numbers speak for themselves:
- 1,100+ volunteer hours completed
- 350+ first-time volunteers
- 50+ worked multiple shifts
- 30+ worked multiple days
- 7 worked all 12 hours
- 13,000 bags were packed (children served)
- 20,000 books sorted
- 100,000+ total books processed
