Bernie’s Book Bank and the Patrick Mannelly Award have partnered together to shine a spotlight on the long snapper position in college football. Bernie’s Book Bank is the charity beneficiary of the Patrick Mannelly Award.
In its inaugural year, this award will be presented to the highest performing long snapper in Division I football. As the college football season looms on the horizon, the watchlist for the Patrick Mannelly Award has been released. The long snappers on this list have proven themselves worthy of consideration through their outstanding performances over previous seasons, and will be the front runners for the award as the 2019 season begins.
By November 16th, this group of players will be narrowed down to a group of semi-finalists. On November 23rd, the finalists will be announced. Finally, on December 14th, the Patrick Mannelly Award will be presented to the most outstanding long snapper at the highest level of college football.
